The purpose of this role is to support the creation of operational videos to help new customers get acquainted and up to speed with different lines of business across Questrade Financial Group.
This position is a 12-month contract position.
What’s it like working as an Operational Video Production Specialist at Questrade?
A Video Production Specialist at Questrade is someone who can transform complex topics into visually-engaging videos. You will be creating content to engage and educate our customers, being a key driver on the creation of “help and how to” videos about Questrade’s platforms, tools and operational processes.
You will work closely with other members of the video team, as well as the brand and content teams to develop storyboards and turn those into short, helpful videos.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the creation of operational videos by:
- Following set operational video templates to create short videos demonstrating trading platform features and benefits, tool usage and how to execute basic account management functions
- Quickly and efficiently edit existing videos to accommodate platform updates or content changes
- Adding captions and voiceover to videos
- Assist in the development of storyboards and scripts, as your experience and product knowledge grows in your time at Questrade
- Provide suggestions and options to improve video templates and processes
- Ensure videos meet all Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability’s Act (AODA) requirements
- Work with other marketing team members to ensure completed videos are published with appropriate titles and descriptions as to be available for use across marketing and customer service channels
- Up to 10% of your time may be required in the Toronto office for on-site filming duties
- Have a minimum of 2+ years’ of relevant work experience in video editing
- Have a post-secondary diploma/certificate in video production or film making equivalent
- Have practical experience managing projects and deliverables with tight timelines
- Are detail oriented in all aspects of video production (visual, sound, brand elements observed etc.)
- Have proven ability to forge excellent internal communication with team members and able to build excellent professional working relationships
- Are collaborative / team player comfortable leading as well as executing and taking constructive input from multiple sources
- Have proven ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Are an assertive self-starter
- Have high energy and a desire to work in a results oriented, fast growing environment
- Have broad knowledge of video editing software applications including Camtasia & Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- Have strong organizational skills
- Have great presentation skills
- Have the ability to work well at all levels of an organization and interact confidently with senior management
- Are solution oriented with the ability to learn new programs on the fly
- Are a self-motivated individual who isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
- Have experience with motion graphics/graphic design
- Have familiarity with trading platforms and tools
- Have experience in a regulated industry
- Have experience and/or personal interest in the investing and trading
