Job Description

Responsibilities of the Client Payroll Assistant:

  • An understanding of PAYE compliance
  • Inputting data on to payroll system
  • Processing starters and leavers;
  • Administration of statutory payments;
  • Calculating and processing pro rata calculations;
  • An understanding of key filing deadlines
  • Administration of Auto Enrolment for workplace pensions;

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate:

  • A proven track record in end to end client payroll processing;
  • Previous experience of using IRIS (Star Payroll Professional) software;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • The ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure;
  • The ability to work independently as well as within a team;
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Commitment to team playing;
  • Flexibility;
  • Self-motivation and enthusiasm;
  • Good IT skills - including use of Outlook, Excel & CCH
  • Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation:
  • Ability to learn quickly

What's on Offer

The successful candidate will receive between £35000-£40000 per annum, depending on level.
