TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.What your background should look like:
Responsibilities:
Be the point of contact for customer care at a part number level.
Drive inventory reduction while ensuring excellent delivery performance.
Strive to improve overall delivery performance to customer request with SAP.
Ensure daily use of standard reports in a timely manner.
Replenish stock items in line with MRP forecasts.
Replenish manually forecasted items in line with customer specific forecasts.
Replenish buffer stock items as required.
Ensure strict back to back processing occurs on all MTO items.
Highlight concerns with system/forecasts/supply/customer etc to planning manager.
Work closely with customer service and demand management to review exceptional requirements.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity for all parts within your profile, MOQ, Pack, Lead Time, and Source etc.
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Competencies
Language skills: Good spoken and written English
Min 5 years MRP/SAP experience in an import planning or production planning role.
Good material control background with an understanding of sales and strong customer focus.
Have an understanding of global freight forwarding companies and a topical awareness of the stresses on the global freight forwarding supply chain.
Problem solving: Provide innovative solutions to support business objectives and continuous improvement.
Organized, flexible, good communicator and strong character.
Strong excel analytics. Advanced excel.
Working knowledge of VBA.
Working knowledge of Access.
