Job Profile:

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development efforts for our web-based applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing web applications and a strong understanding of software engineering principles.
The candidate should have broad knowledge of industry leading software development platforms/languages and should be able to create user interactions on various websites and platforms, write code optimized for mobile and develop databases and services for functionality.
Develop and maintain web applications using modern web frameworks such as ReactJS/Angular/VueJS and Node.js
- Build RESTful APIs to support application functionality
- Performing complex software process definition, requirements analysis, and high-level design/modeling to convert stakeholder needs into software solutions
- Designing and specifying the overall software structure, core elements, and properties by understanding the software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with DevOps team to ensure proper deployment and monitoring of applications
- Identify and solve technical challenges, and proactively propose solutions to improve the application architecture and performance
- You will be working on end-user apps and operating systems for sales to external customers.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent.- 4+ years of professional experience in Full-Stack web development
- Strong proficiency in modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience in back-end development using Node.js and Express.js
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles such as design patterns, SOLID, and DRY
- Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB
- Knowledge of with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issue
- Experience in Agile software development practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
